Dead Hand Chip Shot

There are many different chip shots I use depending on the situation. The dead hand, one-piece chip, comes in handy quite often. This chip can be used for both long and short chips. Set up with your weight on the front foot and your hands in front of the ball. Once you’ve set your hand position maintain it throughout the stroke. Use no wrist break for this chip shot. Take the club back in one piece and regulate your distance by the length of your follow-through. Make sure you minimize any body motion and do not lift up during the shot. Finally, use light grip pressure and keep your hands leading the clubhead at all times.
